My favorite project of last semester, this was my midterm Watercolor assignment. The topic was "A Scientific Point of View." I chose to do a pseudo cryptozoological piece on the Demon Princes of Hell.
This project was tea-stained and penned in. 80% of the coloring is exclusively tea, and the rest is tea with some burnt umber and alizarin crimson pigment mixed in to get the reds and the darker browns.
"Head of a man, bull, and ram, with the tail of a serpent." How the heck do you make that "lusty?!" I tried! This guy was a pain in the butt to try to design. But damn, that's a keen beard, isn't it?
Also, submitting these to the "Between Heaven and Hell" contest at this group. They're not OCs that have been modified with the demon prince theme, but I decided to declare them demon prince OCs, so hopefully that'll count. Doesn't hurt to try!
