Flak Armor Turn-Around by Cat-Bat Flak Armor Turn-Around by Cat-Bat
So, I've been pretty into my Dark Heresy game and my psyker just got an armor upgrade to flak. I've been drawing Eden a lot, and definitely the more I doodle her, the more solid her design becomes, including the clothing. I already think this is tons better than the previous clothing overview for her I did a little bit back.

Eden is an introverted, paranoid, and slightly mentally unstable psyker (original, right?) who is slowly blooming into a badass after starting off as by far the puniest, most useless character in the party (being the only party member who is using a base career with base starting experience.) She's also becoming a decent marksman.

I am supremely fond of her, and she is the perfect guinea-pig for experimenting with costumes, especially while trying to balance her femininity, the flamboyantly dramatic armor style of the 40k universe, and maintaining a sense of practicality.

Flak armor is a lot better than some of the other armor she could have. Mesh vest... -shiver-

I just upgraded from heavy leathers, so I'll take anything I can get at this point. XD

PSYKER! Love her hair do. I think her outfit design works really well, I hope she hasn't died by the time this comment makes it to your inbox (because let's face it, DH is hard to stay alive in especially as a psyker sometimes LOL).

Thanks! She's actually still alive. We've got a DM who wants to develop the characters and I'm in a party with a very paternal Inquisitor, so she's been kept alive quite well. Just 800 more XP and I'll have access to major psychic abilities and kicking all kinds of ass!

Really cool armor design. I think you really hit the feminine-yet-badass mark you were aiming for. Hope your DH game keeps going well.

Thanks. There's not a ton of ladies in the 40k art that seem... not sexualized. You know, the giant bewbies spilling over a half-skull breast-plate or what have you, so that comment means a whole lot!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I try to control my heretical lust when I draw women for a serious setting, especially for combat, but sometimes I can't help myself. Your practicality is refreshing.

It's okay. It's a sci-fi action universe. A little sexy isn't going to hurt anyone. I draw pin-ups of my lady-characters to balance out the urge to make them look like Slaaneshian cultists.
